There are many events and offerings to take advantage of at the AAM 2014 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo. Here is a guide to the Conference Features, MuseumExpo Highlights and Professional Network Events to incorporate into your Annual Meeting experience.

Alliance After-Hours: Late night networking opportunity for meeting attendees! Participate in a Story Slam event where professional storytellers and attendees showcase their talents.

Big Idea Sessions: Leading and up-and-coming voices from outside the museum field share innovations, experiences and insights with museum professionals.

Dine Arounds: Enjoy a relaxing evening with fellow conference attendees by exploring Seattle neighborhoods and local cuisine.

Morning Fitness: Start your day off right with fitness and have fun with colleagues by joining a group fitness experience.

On-Site Insights: Experiential learning opportunities hosted at museums and other cultural venues in the Seattle community. Pre-registration is required.

Open House: Seattle's museum community is opening its doors during the AAM conference. You can explore Seattle's cultural treasures for free just by showing your conference badge to participating museums.

Table Talks: Kickstart your day with lively informal discussions that pose questions on field-wide issues and hot topics shaping the profession and engage attendees in solution sharing. Moderated by participating Professional Networks.

Technology Tutorials: Informational hands-on sessions focusing on computer technologies that provide tools and resources for museums. Pre-registration is required.

"The Un-Conference Room": Interested in hosting a "pop-up" session? This is your chance. On-site sign-up is available to facilitate a 75-minute meeting on the subject of your choosing and promote it to attendees via social media. Sign-up available onsite. Presentations can only take place during one of the 10 established timeslots. Presenters may sign up for only one session. Sign up on a first-come first-served basis.

MuseumExpo Highlights

Alliance Resource Center: Meet the Alliance staff and leadership, connect with colleagues from the Professional Networks and learn more about the Alliance's programs.

Emerging Innovators Forum: Explore a showcase of creative museum exhibition and programming ideas from emerging innovators representing museum professional training programs from across the country and beyond. Innovators will present models, demonstrate programs or reference graphic materials.

Federal Agency Pavilion: Program officers from a number of federal agencies—including IMLS, NEA, NEH and the State Department, among others—will be available to answer your questions about grant opportunities, provide tips on successful grant applications and provide feedback on your prospective project ideas. Also learn about other opportunities to collaborate with government agencies.

Marketplace of Ideas: An open-air forum in which museum professionals have the opportunity to participate in informal discussions and exchange ideas on timely issues brought to you by the Professional Networks.

Solutions Center: The Solutions Center will feature brief presentations by experts who offer tips and guidance on making commercial transactions on products and services.
