Open House: Atlanta's museum community is opening its doors during the AAM conference. You can explore Atlanta's cultural treasures for free just by showing your conference badge to participating museums.
Table Talks: Grab a friend and join us for a fun, friendly and fast-paced networking event in the style of speed dating! Come prepared with business cards and a few talking points about your skills, passions and why museums matter. We will prepare you with basic networking tips before we launch you on a series of one-on-one speed networking meet-ups. Who knows who you might meet! (Lunch is not provided)
Technology Tutorials: Informational hands-on sessions focusing on computer technologies that provide tools and resources for museums.
"The Un-Conference Room": Interested in hosting a "pop-up" session? This is your chance. On-site sign-up is available to facilitate a 75-minute meeting on the subject of your choosing and promote it to attendees via social media. Sign-up available onsite. Presentations can only take place during one of the 10 established timeslots. Presenters may sign up for only one session. Sign up on a first-come first-served basis.
Alliance Bookstore: Join us in the Alliance Bookstore in Atlanta. Browse the best in museum literature, grab a coffee and light fare at our cafe and connect via our bookstore hotspot.
Alliance Resource Center: Meet the Alliance staff and leadership, connect with colleagues from the Professional Networks and learn more about the Alliance's programs.
Emerging Innovators Forum: Explore a showcase of creative museum exhibition and programming ideas from emerging innovators representing museum professional training programs from across the country and beyond. Innovators will present models, demonstrate programs or reference graphic materials.
Federal Agency Pavilion: Program officers from a number of federal agencies—including IMLS, NEA, NEH and the State Department, among others—will be available to answer your questions about grant opportunities, provide tips on successful grant applications and provide feedback on your prospective project ideas. Also learn about other opportunities to collaborate with government agencies.
Marketplace of Ideas: An open-air forum in which museum professionals have the opportunity to participate in informal discussions and exchange ideas on timely issues brought to you by the Professional Networks.
MuseumExpo Opening Reception: We invite you to come and enjoy complimentary food and beverage and to meet face-to-face with industry representatives and check out the latest product developments and technological advancements.
Solutions Center Stage: Exhibiting companies will present sessions uniquely designed to give you cutting-edge information on products and services addressing the needs of the museum industry.
Technology Innovation Zone - Learning Lab Stage: This stage will be featured in the technology pavilion on the expo show floor.
