The 2016 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo session proposal submission process is now closed. 

Important Dates

 Session Proposal Submission Deadline         August 31
 National Program Committee Proposal Review         September - October
 Session Acceptance/Non-Acceptance Sent         November
 Accepted Sessions/Program Announced         January

What Happens Next? 

The National Program Committee is responsible for the review and selection of program sessions and must ensure that the program reflects a thoughtful balance of topics. The committee is comprised of individuals representing diverse professional expertise, regional affiliations, and types of institutions that have an overview of the entire museum field. 

The Committee conducted an online review in September to record their initial thoughts on each proposal. They met in October to make final decisions on which proposals to accept, provide constructive criticism for proposals that are not accepted, and identify important issue gaps that need to be addressed. 

Once decisions have been made, session organizers will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance status. The program will be available online in January.
