National EMP Career Workshop:
Personal Branding and Networking

Week of October 15-19

Now more than ever, it's critical to sell yourself professionally and persuasively with style and substance, and to make meaningful contacts that can guide you though stages of your career. But how? Join the Alliance and local colleagues in an interactive 2-hour workshop designed to provide you with practical tips on identifying and communicating your strengths and passions, and build valuable networking skills.

In collaboration with local Alliance Emerging Museum Professionals (EMP) groups

Sponsored by

Who Should Attend

Emerging museum professionals (EMPs) and other museum professionals looking for practical career guidance.

How Will I Benefit?

After participating in this career workshop, attendees will be better able to:

  • Explore individual skills, abilities and passions
  • Communicate professionally with purpose, power and persuasion
  • Identify valuable connections and build a network of meaningful professional relationships

All Alliance EMP career workshops feature practical information, local facilitators, skills-building activities, and opportunities for discussion and networking. Some local EMP groups may plan for informal, no-host, post-workshop networking events (e.g. “happy hour”).
