From 1980-2007, IPAM made possible 245 exchanges between US museums and their counterparts in 85 countries across the globe. The program was administered by the American Association of Museums (AAM) with primary support from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
On May 7, 2007, AAM and the U.S. Department of State announced the launch of IPAM's successor program, Museums & Community Collaborations Abroad (MCCA). You can learn more about this exciting international partnership grant program at the MCCA website.
