AAM Professional Development (PD) is committed to providing the highest quality PD opportunities to the broadest audience through a range of programs designed to meet the needs of museum practitioners at every stage of their career, in all functional areas, and in a wide range of museum types, sizes, budgets and disciplines. Launched officially in 1988, AAM PD helps individual museum practitioners improve both their technical, interpersonal management and leadership skills, thus helping create stronger institutions that can better serve their communities, and ultimately help communicate the value of museums to society.
