ICOM International Committees

Every individual AAM/ICOM member may hold membership in ICOM International Committees with voting rights in one. Membership in any of these 29 these groups focusing on either a particular type of museum or specific museum-related discipline provides the opportunity to exchange information, develop standards and best practices, and work with museum professionals abroad on international projects impacting the field. Each ICOM International Committee is represented by their president at the ICOM Advisory Committee.

If you are a new AAM/ICOM member, be sure to complete the International Committee Membership form and submit it to the AAM/ICOM offices. Current AAM/ICOM members who have never joined an International Committee or who would like to change International Committee membership can also complete the International Committee Membership form. Be sure to include your AAM/ICOM membership number.
