International Partnerships Among Museums
2005 - 2007 Cycle

Important Program Dates


Those museums that have already identified partners abroad must work with their partners to request nomination from the Cultural and Public Affairs Officers at the U.S. embassies by February 11, 2005.

Phase I Applications for U.S. and non-U.S. museums must be postmarked by March 18, 2005.

A complete Phase I Application includes:

  • Phase I Application form
  • Museum Mission Statement (one page)
  • Participant Bio (one page)

In April 2005, Phase II Books containing non-U.S. Phase I Applications are mailed.

Phase II Applications for U.S. and non-U.S. museums must be postmarked by October 7, 2005.

A complete Phase II Application includes:

  • Phase II Application form
  • Project proposal written in the format specified in the application instructions and submitted by the U.S. partner on behalf of the partnership
  • Participant Bio (one page)
  • Museum Director's Statement (one page)
  • Previous IPAM Participant Statement (one page, when applicable)

Awards are announced in December 2005 or January 2006.

IPAM awardees travel between April 2006 and May 2007.
