International Partnerships Among Museums
2003-2005 Cycle

Distribution of IPAM Funds


All participants are encouraged to exhaust their funds on program related expenses. Any unspent money will have to be given to AAM to return to funders.

Benefits

The International Partnerships Among Museums Program provides the following for all participants:

  • Roundtrip economy travel between the point of origin and the international destination
  • $105/day for 31 days
  • $475 for ground transportation, books and educational materials, shipping, and culture

Payment to U.S. Participants

Approximately 10 days prior to travel, AAM overnights a check payable to the U.S. participants for the total amount of $3730. Carrying large amounts of cash when traveling is not advised. Please refer to the Travel Tips for information on safety. For accounting and auditing purposes, participants are required to submit a Funds Received Form [ PDF Format or Word Format] to AAM as soon as their check is received. A Travel Expense Form [Excel Format or Word Format] is due two weeks after completion of travel.

Payment to Non-U.S. Participants

AAM provides Visa Gift cards for non-U.S. participants in the amount of $3730 which is delivered to their partner at the U.S. host institution approximately 10 days prior to the their arrival. These cards work much like a debit card with a pre-set spending amount; they can be used to make purchases and to get cash from ATM machines. For accounting and auditing purposes, participants are required to submit a Funds Received Form [ PDF Format or Word Format] to AAM as soon as their check or card is received. A Travel Expense Form [Excel Format or Word Format] is due two weeks after completion of travel.
