Individual Membership Categories 

Student: Open to individuals preparing for a museum career who are enrolled at an accredited degree-granting college or university. A valid, current ID from that institution is required.

Professional: Open to all who work (in a paid or unpaid capacity) for the success of museums, including museum staff, trustees, independent professionals and staff at museum-related nonprofits (for example, museum studies programs or other museum associations).

Retired Professional: Open to individuals who have retired from a museum career.
 

Institutional Membership Categories

Museum Membership: Open to museums and organizations that operate museums.

Associate Membership: Open to museum-related nonprofit organizations, libraries, universities and government agencies.

Industry Partner Category
Open to companies that provide goods and services to the museum field.
