MCCA 2009-2011: US Application Process

The US application process is broken down into three steps. Should you have any questions during the process, MCCA staff is available to provide assistance.

Non-US Museum Partners
US museums may partner with Embassy Nominees, or they may nominate non-US museums through the Museum Generated Nomination process. Non-US museums will not be allowed to propose in conjunction with a US museum unless they have been nominated by the local US Embassy or by a US museum.

Statements of Intent to Propose, due November 23, 2009
US museums submit a brief, non-binding overview of the project idea for review by MCCA staff. Community-based activities must be at the center of the project. Projects that focus heavily on staff training or exhibition development are typically not competitive.

Final Proposals, due February 23, 2010
US museums, on behalf of their partnership, submit a proposal for review by the MCCA Selection Committee.
