Press Release: Grants Awarded to Reimagine Accreditation Program (February 2009)

Focused Review Pilot Project (History, Results, Final Report)

March -April 2009 McKinsey & Co. Diagnostic: Results Summary

Status Reports
July 2009
The Accreditation Program is:
Seeking funding to retain McKinsey & Company to continue the next steps in the planning process (set priorities, begin to drill down into various options and make decisions, and then plan a phased build out of a new program).
• Working on an RFP and funding for an accreditation business enterprise system that would allow the Self-Study and other aspects of the process to be completed on line; and which would support data storage and access from review to review.
• Implementing some communication strategies that were well received and worked in the focused review pilot project (e.g., the pre-review preliminary questionnaire and conversation, more frequent and personalized communication from staff and Commission).
• Evaluating and re-imagining the Museum Assessment Program to build a stronger bridge between it and the Accreditation Program.
