Accreditation Program Virtual Soapbox

The Accreditation Program has been in place for just over 35 years now. With this milestone, over the next couple of years we are taking this time to reflect on it's strengths and weaknesses to make improvements that will better serve you.

Everyone is invited to share their thoughts. Tell us:
  • Is the program still relevant to you?
  • What needs to change to make it more useful to you/the field in the future?
  • How can accreditation increase its value to the field? Individual museums? Museum professionals?
  • Should there be different levels of accreditation or new related alternatives? What should they be?
  • Are the standards and process too hard or not tough enough?
  • How many museums do you want to see accredited or how many should be? Why?
  • What else do you want out of “your” accreditation program?
  • Feel free to share any other comments about the program or AAM.

We value your feedback. Use the comment box below to SPEAK UP !
