ICOM International Committees
|
The 31 ICOM International Committees bring together experts of museum specialties. Joining one of these groups--focusing on either a particular type of museum or specific museum-related discipline--provides the opportunity to exchange information, develop standards and best practices, and work with museum professionals abroad on international projects impacting your field. Most committees have a list-serve and an annual conference.
ICOM members can join as many committees as desired. However, you are only eligible to be a voting member of one committee as a privilege of membership.
To join or change your primary International Committee (voting privileges), complete the International Committee Membership Form and submit it to the ICOM-US office. If you are already an ICOM-US member, be sure to include your ICOM membership number on your form; new members can leave that field blank.
To join additional International Committees, contact the committee directly. Use the ICOM website committee listing for leadership and contact information.
