Join ICOM-US

In addition to the tangible benefits of membership, there are additional advantages to joining ICOM-US which are less obvious. ICOM members help support cultural heritage protection both through their membership dollars and their work. International Committees and other communication pathways formed by fellow ICOM members allow museum professionals to be exposed to new research and perspectives that celebrate the differences and similarities among cultures.  Through this sharing of information, standards and best practices for the museum field are assembled and disseminated.  

PLEASE NOTE: ICOM-US Membership is separate from AAM membership.  ICOM Memberships are offered on a CALENDAR YEAR system.  New memberships opened between now and September 30, 2008 will be for the 2008 membership year and will expire on December 31, 2008.

To join ICOM for the first time, download the ICOM-US Membership Application and ICOM International Committee Form.

Students joining ICOM must submit a copy of a valid student ID with the application.
