ICOM-US Governance

ICOM-US is a National Committee within ICOM, the International Council of Museums which is headquartered in Paris. Learn more about ICOM. ICOM-US is administratively housed within AAM.

ICOM-US operates according to the Bylaws of ICOM-US, the U.S. National Committee of the International Council of Museums. These bylaws were Adopted by the General Membership of the Committee, May 1, 1978 and amended June 11, 1985, June 20, 1989, May 11, 1990, April 27, 1992, May 4, 1996, and January 15, 2007.

The U.S. National Committee of ICOM is led by the ICOM-US Board.

Meetings

Every year ICOM-US holds a baord meeting and an Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon at the AAM Annual Meeting. ICOM-US also sponsors panels, presentations, and receptions for ICOM members throughout the meeting.
