 | What is ICOM-US? |
ICOM has 116 National Committees which are the fundamental units of ICOM and the principal instruments for administration of membership and communication between ICOM and its members. In the U.S., the National Committee of ICOM is housed with the American Association of Museums (AAM) and is called ICOM-US (known as AAM/ICOM until 2007). This symbiotic relationship affords members access to a full scope of international information and activities designed to broaden perspectives and strengthen skills in the study and practice of museum work.
