AAM Adds Vice Presidents of Development and Marketing and Communications

Danielle St. Germain-Gordon and Kate McGoldrick Join Management Team
Washington, DC, 5/7/2008 -

The American Association of Museums (AAM) has appointed two vice presidents for newly created positions. Danielle St. Germain-Gordon joins AAM as Vice President of Development, and Kate McGoldrick has been named Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

St. Germain-Gordon comes to AAM following seven years at Washington’s Shakespeare Theater Company, where she was integral to the organization’s fundraising initiatives. St. Germain-Gordon orchestrated individual giving for both the Annual Fund and the Campaign for the Harman Center for the Arts, serving most recently as Associate Director of Development.  Gordon has 15 years experience in marketing and fundraising, and will lead AAM development efforts with corporations, foundations and individuals.  A graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Gordon lives in Washington, D.C.

McGoldrick served four years as part of the leadership team at The Ocean Conservancy in Washington, most recently as Vice President of Constituency Development and Public Outreach.  In that role McGoldrick spearheaded a change initiative to inform, educate and shape specific audiences and public attitudes, incorporating targeted programming and membership, volunteer, grassroots advocacy and strategic partnership development. McGoldrick brings more than 20 years management experience to AAM, where she will lead the organization’s strategic communication, marketing, creative services and publishing efforts. McGoldrick earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University and her MBA at the University of Western Australia in Perth. She resides in Alexandria, Virginia.

“AAM is fortunate to be joined by two such outstanding professionals as Danielle St. Germain-Gordon and Kate McGoldrick,” said Ford Bell, president of AAM. “Their skills and experience will empower us to better serve the museum field and thereby support the overall mission of museums everywhere to serve the public trust.”
