AAM Joins with Nonprofits to Call for a New “Partnership of Public Service”
AAM recently joined with more than 100 other nonprofit organizations in creating, signing and issuing the Pocantico Declaration, calling for a renewed and rejuvenated partnership between governments and our “civic sector” to tackle society’s most pressing problems. The declaration is a call to action, and looks to inspire the nation’s governments and businesses to join with its civic sector for a renewed “partnership in public service.”
The complete Pocantico Declaration, entitled Forward Together: Empowering America’s Civic Sector for the Change We Need, can be found here
. AAM urges other nonprofits to join us as signatories to this important document. We also salute The Nonprofit Listening Post Project at Johns Hopkins University for its leadership in this endeavor.
