Disaster Response & Recovery

The National Heritage Responders (NHR) – formerly American Institute for Conservation – Collections Emergency Response Team (AIC-CERT), help recover cultural and historic artifacts damaged by earthquakes, hurricanes, and other disaster response and recovery efforts.

Pennsylvania Cultural Resilience Network

The Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) created the Pennsylvania Cultural Resilience Network (PaCRN) to strengthen emergency preparedness at institutions throughout Pennsylvania through training and network-building. Beyond providing training to PA institutions this website includes a lot of useful planning resources.

Resources for Conservation Professionals

The Federation for the Advancement of Conservation’s CoOL website is a freely accessible platform for generating and disseminating resources for those working to preserve cultural heritage worldwide.

Statewide Heritage Emergency Partnership

The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works provides resources and a partnership of cultural organizations to help when a major disaster occurs.
