Transcript
Autaneshia Staveloz: I am a member of AAM because it is the one-stop-shop for museum resources.
Sebastián Encina: There are many ways that being a member of AAM has helped me in my career and in my role at home. Having a new building, having to move my collections, I knew I was not the first one to do that. I was able to rely on so many colleagues who reminded me of the pitfalls…what to look out for, how to plan for things that I had not planned for before.
AAM: What I find when talking to people who want to get access to our resources, because we have hundreds of resources, the things that they really value the most are access to our sample documents.
Toni Kiser: The resources that are available on the AAM website, white papers about issues, understanding what’s happening in the field, and being able to know that those standards for best practice are something that AAM is always striving to help its members stay on top of, and to know that was always a go-to resource.
Saleem Penny: Most of the American Alliance of Museum professional development opportunities are free or low cost, depending on the membership level, and that’s been a huge asset for me at my museum.
