Transcript
Saleem Penny: One of the main reasons I am a member of the American Alliance of Museums is the chance to connect with people across industries.
Lenora Costa: It’s really nice to be able to go on to AAM’s website and have a question that might have to do with curatorial things and be able to reach out to a much larger group of people who do the same thing that I do and be able to have that connection with people who understand and can help.
Sebastian Encina: I joined AAM because I knew I wasn’t alone in this field. I knew that the problems that I had to face are ones that other people have faced, and I can rely on those colleagues to guide me in ways that I needed to fulfill my mission, to fulfill my goals at my institution and in the museum field in general.
Kayleigh Bryant-Greenwell: It is invaluable to be able to meet other professionals who are sharing and creating in the same kind of inclusive museum practice that I am trying to instill in myself.
Sarah Erdman: When I was trying to figure out what the museum field is all about and my place in it, it was just the moth to the flame. It was the place where I could really find those connections with people and also the content knowledge I needed.
