Hello from a sunny and warm St. Louis, MO. We’re learning so much about Gateways for Understanding at the AAM Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo.
Today I thought I would give you a quick recap of what some of the attendees have been saying about our Featured Speakers. On Monday we had Haben Girma who inspired us to think about people with disabilities differently, that the disability is not the barrier, the barrier is the status quo. Bryan Stevenson spoke about breaking free of bonds and doing uncomfortable things because you can’t change the world unless you do. And, Vincent Valdez stimulated thoughts about how racial injustice and incarceration are linked.
