Free Copies of TrendsWatch at AAM2018

Category: Center for the Future of Museums Blog

This year the Alliance Resource Center will feature an installation celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Center for the Future of Museums.

In addition to an installation reviewing our decade of museum futuring, we will be giving away free copies of all the past editions of TrendsWatch. Stop by the Resource Center during MuseumExpo hours (Monday noon – 5:30 pm; Tuesday 10 am – 5:30 pm; Wednesday 8 am – noon) to pick up yours while supplies last.

You can review the topics covered each year here –take a look to see if you want to target particular issues for your library. But I hope you come by and snag a full set!

We will also be giving away a limited number of Museum 2040. This “future fiction” edition of Museum magazine explores one of the scenarios that will be published in TrendsWatch 2018 in the fall of this year. I hope you join me on Sunday, May 6 at 4 pm for the session Interviews from 2040: Leadership and Sustainability, Truth and Reconciliation for a conversation with three of the authors–Omar Eaton-Martinez, Sarah Sutton, and Alliance CEO Laura Lot–to hear their thoughts about exploring museum futures.

Yours from the future (in Phoenix),

Elizabeth
