Conference of the Americas
Conference of the Americas, a biannual conference launched in 2015, unites a cross-generation of professionals from the Americas committed to advancing positive transformation in museums for greater relevancy and service to their diverse and ever-changing communities. During three days, through different learning formats and sessions, the conference highlights examples of best practices, innovative ideas, and creative approaches, as well as solutions to common challenges. The third edition of Reimagining the Museum will be held in Oaxaca, Mexico from November 20-22, 2019. It is co-organized by the American Alliance of Museums and the TyPA Foundation in Argentina, in collaboration with its local partners in Mexico – Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation, Museum of Philately (MUFI), University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC, UNAM), Interactive Museum of Economics (MIDE), and Papalote Children’s Museum.
